Dear Stone Theater Company is proud to announce its inaugural season!
We open the season this summer with Will Eno’s Thom Pain (based on nothing). This performance invites you into one man’s journey to make sense of his life, overcoming fear, hurt, and rejection in a desperate attempt to connect with someone. It just happens the only people to connect with in the room are the audience.
In the spring we will present our first world premiere: Kirsten Grorud’s Girna, directed by Amy Bornman. This contemporary re-imagining of the biblical story of Hosea and Gomer explores, through myth and movement, the yearning for a life other than that we have chosen, the lengths to which love will go even in the face of betrayal, and limits of forgiveness when our feelings don’t always align with those of the person we love.
Along with our two show season, we have planned excellent programming and development opportunities for early-career theater artists. Check back soon for a full announcement of these programs.
We look forward to having you join us for these exciting productions!
