Much Ado About Nothing

Much Ado About Nothing, William Shakespeare’s classic comedy of two reluctant lovers was Dear Stone Theater Company’s inaugural production, performed at Theatre Y in July 2014.

Throughout the play, Shakespeare’s rich characters try to manage and control how they are perceived, take advantage of other’s misconception of them, and manipulate their friends’ and enemies’ perceptions of others. This image-management and building of the self is timelessly relevant, and the play gives the audience a comic romp through the benefits and dangers of relating how we’re viewed to who we are.
